About Lansing Clippers Sewing Guild

Welcome to friendship, fun, learning and creativity!  In addition to all that, members of the American Sewing Guild are also entitled to other benefits and discounts… and to Have Fun!

Organization Overview

  • We have members from all over Central Michigan

  • Meet monthly in Lansing.

  • Members can attend any meeting, anywhere in the country.

  • We sponsor special events, an annual retreat as well as local and national sewing speakers.

  • Members are very supportive of our community, donating their time and talents to provide local and national organizations with needed items.

Founded

Formed in 1986 as a charter of the American Sewing Guild.

Mission

Advancing sewing as an art and life skill. 

  • The Lansing Clippers is a chapter of the American Sewing Guild (ASG). 

  • The ASG is a not-for-profit education-based organization founded to advance sewing as an art and life skill. 

  • We are a well-organized group of sewing enthusiasts who meet monthly to have fun, learn new sewing skills and techniques and be creative!

Meetings

  • The Lansing Clippers meets on the third Tuesday of the month at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 1519 Elmwood Rd., Lansing, Michigan.

  • 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.  – Social time

  • 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Business meeting, program and show & tell

  • Meeting changes will be posted in the calendar on this website.

  • In-person meetings will be cancelled during inclement weather if the Lansing Public Schools close for that reason.
