Currently, the Lansing Clippers have the following Neighborhood Groups:

NG – Sew Styling

Purpose –  To pursue the love of sewing.  Every sewist is welcome, from beginner to experienced. We are primarily a discussion group, with interest in learning sewing tips and techniques. Members also try to help each other with sewing issues.

December 12, 2024, from 1-3 PM please join us at the Bath Twp Public Library in Bath.

Cover Up Again and create or upcycle a jacket or sweatshirt. With no meeting in November due to the Novi Sewing Expo, it will afford us an opportunity to have more time to work on it for the December 12th meeting. It doesn’t have to be completed.

We look forward to helping with sewing questions or concerns and it’s great seeing the variety of ideas the projects bring. We especially look forward to show & tell.

NG – Happy Hoopers Embroidery Group

Purpose – To learn more about machine embroidery.  This is a discussion group only.  All aspects of machine embroidery are discussed and members show successful embroideries as well as those that did not turn out as expected.  Members try to help each other with problems they encounter with embroidery projects.  Everyone is welcome regardless of level of expertise or brand of embroidery machine.

Join us November 5, 2024, 1-3 pm at the Hen House in Charlotte for a discussion and sharing of Thanksgiving or things you do in the fall! Embroider a themed design and bring it to show and tell.  You don't have to have a completed project.  We will be talking about design sources and materials used to create these designs and how we may use them in a project.  Think about one you would like to do and questions you may have about the techniques. Looking forward, think Christmas/Winter Holidays in December!  In December, we will have an ornament exchange!  Please make and bring an embroidered ornament to exchange with other members of the group.
